@rckjyadigg I took Accutane for about 2 days and stopped when I heard crazy side effect stories on the net, so I really can’t give you a good opinion on this. The Solodyn does work for me but I am currently looking for a more natural solution and I will be doing an update on that so stay tuned.
Does this work better than Accutane? I was on accutane for 6 months and i still break out
@Stereo871 Did U get a yeast infection from it? and if so did u have to the doctor for it, or what did u do?
Thanks for the advice. My doctor just prescribed me this medication. hope it works as well for me.
@L0VELYx3o Unfortunately for me, my acne is genetic. My father had acne, my younger brother has it, and one of my Aunts has had it and she is in her 40′s. I do think that my hormones play a role in it, but its just the makeup of my skin. I only have breakouts if I am not sticking to my regimen. Now that I have stuck to my regimen along with taking solodyn if I get a pimple its usually a tiny one that is gone within a day or two.
Hey i watched ur minocycline review. i’m on minocycline for 12 weeks. did your acne come back afterwards? do you have hormonal acne?
@elpibegustavo : ) your welcome, I’ve had Acne ever since I hit puberty and I still have it as a 24 year old, sometimes it just doesn’t go away and you have to find a treatment that works for you.
I took Doryx for a couple of months and my acne was completely gone…then i stopped taking it and it came back…now i’m on Solodyn because Doryx decided to change their price from 25 bucks a bottle to 500….it’s been 2 weeks and I broke out worse, but I haven’t payed attention to the dairy time and stuff…I knew it before hand i just didn’t pay that much attention…I’ll be more careful this time… Thanks! And I’m 20, got acne when I was 14 : S
Thanks for the video very informative
@wuppy610 It was a gradual change, week by week, I saw my biggest improvement a month after using. With Acne medications you should see results at least after 2-3 months. Yes I am using Acanya which is benzoyl peroxide that contains clindamycin phosphate.
I started taking minocycline pills yesterday along with clindamycin phosphate lotion, have you tried this? How long did it take before you started noticing improvements when you started taking solodyn minocycline?
@wuppy610 It really does not matter when you decide to take the medication just make sure that you give yourself at least 2 hrs before and 2 hrs after eating dairy products to to the medication. Soy milk is not a dairy product. Iron pills or vitamins containing calcium reduce the drug’s effectiveness, which is not to say that you cannot take your vitamins just space them out from the time you take your minocycline.
Thanks for this video. I just came back from the doctor’s office and he prescribed me this minocyclin capsules and clindamycin phosphate lotion. Thanks for the tip on not eating/drinking any dairy products. Just have a couple of questions: when did you take your minocycline (one in the morning and at night?). And also is soy milk considered a dairy product?
@loverrrrxx Did you see that video lol! I had tons of them. It help me clear up in about a month I just have horrible scarring now, and I have started to use ACV to see how that works out.
i just started this medication. And I was wondering did you have those little white heads… or what some people call it the hidden pimple. cause i have over a hundred tiny ones on my cheek areas and im hopping that this will clear it up
@napturallycurly I am definitely going to try this out! I am in the process of trying to even out my skin now.
I agree with LuBella about the ACV. Her video is what turned me on to it. I’ve spent tons of money on acne products over the years and all along I had the remedy in my cabinet. I dilute my ACV with water about 50% and apply with a cotton ball. Cleared up my acne scars and I don’t get breakouts like I used to. It’s the ONLY thing that has worked.
@Stereo871 I saturate a cotton ball with store bought ACV and apply it to my face every night. I did a video on it and I’m getting a lot of responses from ppl who are seeing good results. And I think my hormonal is due to my age. There are Youtube videos that talk about it. You usually get big red bumps around your jawline and ear area. That was a complete nightmare. I would get like 2 bumps a week. Nonstop. And you know they leave dark spots. Horrible. check out my vid. I’ll send it.
@LuBellaCoils How do you use ACV? I think my acne is in large part hormonal. I kept breaking out on my chin and around my mouth, and I heard that was a sign of a hormonal breakout. When I was nearing my time of the month it got really crazy too.
Hey Stereo
I know the feeling of having acne with no solution. It is depressing. I’m glad you found your solution
I had 3 different kinds of acne (hormonal, allergic to MAC make up, common acne). My skin has been clear like it is for YEARS. I started using ACV last October. OMG….it cleared up my remaining acne. I don’t use MAC foundation/blush. And I take Evening Primrose Oil for the hormonal acne. It is a lot of trial and error.
